Manager, Industrial Hygiene Services (Environmental Health)

Location: Project sites throughout Michigan, United States; regular field travel required

What you will do

• Manage industrial hygiene and environmental health projects from scope through completion, including schedules, staffing, budgets, field activities, reporting, and client communication.
• Conduct and oversee exposure assessments, workplace monitoring, air sampling, noise monitoring, ventilation evaluations, and hazardous materials surveys.
• Lead asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, indoor air quality, and remediation-related projects.
• Interpret laboratory and field results and prepare technical reports, recommendations, monitoring programs, procedures, and written plans.
• Provide technical direction, training, and mentoring to industrial hygiene staff and field technicians.
• Support client relationships, proposals, presentations, business development, quality assurance, and safe work practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, environmental health, occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive industrial hygiene or environmental health experience.
• Experience with exposure assessment, workplace monitoring, sampling methodologies, and interpretation of analytical results.
• Experience with asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold assessments and management, including surveys, sampling, reporting, and abatement or remediation coordination.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, MIOSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Michigan are required.

Nice to have

• Asbestos, lead, mold, safety, or environmental certifications.
• CIH certification or active pursuit of CIH certification.
• Experience managing and mentoring industrial hygiene professionals and field technicians.
• Experience developing monitoring programs, written procedures, proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets.
