Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Salary: $150,000–$300,000 base salary annually, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region cloud-native services with integrated security and observability.
• Develop event-driven architectures, processing pipelines, and optimized data paths for high-throughput trade lifecycle management.
• Build production-grade AI solutions integrated with Java-based microservices and orchestrate AI coding agents across the software development lifecycle.
• Partner with engineers, domain experts, and global stakeholders to digitize business processes and drive modernization.
• Manage software components through requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and release using Agile and SDLC practices.
• Deliver reusable capabilities for front-, middle-, and back-office Global Banking & Markets functions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with Java; Java 17+ is preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and the ability to govern agents and assess AI-generated code for production quality.
• Experience building event-driven and distributed systems, including messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, delivery guarantees, and resilience strategies.
• Strong version control, CI/CD, automated build, testing, deployment, and code quality practices.
• Experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testing, as well as debugging large and unfamiliar codebases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Spring Boot, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Apache Camel, Spring Integration, and pipeline or adapter design patterns.
• GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and JVM tuning for containerized workloads.
• Observability, SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, performance optimization, enterprise security, and mutual TLS.
• Equities, post-trade, financial services, trade lifecycle, reconciliation, or position management experience.
• Asynchronous I/O frameworks, multi-region or BCP architectures, and open-source contributions.
