Plasma Spray Coating Supplier Engineer (E2 SR)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Onsite role with approximately 20% travel. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $90,000–$124,000 per year.

What you will do

• Work with product development teams to clarify engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to suppliers.
• Partner with new product introduction teams on specifications and design for manufacturability.
• Investigate alternative manufacturing processes to improve cost, quality, and reliability.
• Support supplier selection, technical audits, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Resolve quality incidents through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assess supplier production readiness for transferred and new modules and recommend qualified materials and sources.

Requirements

• Expanded conceptual knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience applying technical judgment and established problem-solving approaches.
• Ability to evaluate technical product requirements, supplier capabilities, quality, cost, delivery, and technology.
• Ability to explain complex technical information clearly and provide informal guidance to team members.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
