Confirmed Backend Engineer - Care (Java)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid position with 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve services for the Phoenix unified back-office system.
• Aggregate and expose data across train, carpool, and bus services for Community Relations Teams.
• Maintain strategic user features, including claim management and reporting systems.
• Own substantial features from technical design and implementation through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, and Community Relations Teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Improve code quality through reviews, mentorship, documentation, and clear API design.

Requirements

• Solid experience in companies with a strong engineering culture and growth context.
• Strong knowledge of Java and its ecosystem, with sound software architecture foundations.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Datadog or comparable monitoring solutions.
• Significant experience building, deploying, and operating backend microservices in production.
• Product-oriented mindset with the ability to balance business needs and technical constraints.
