Senior Director - Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Cortland, New York, United States; global travel up to 20% as needed.

Annual salary: $220,000–$250,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead approximately 400 associates across production, value streams, planning, procurement, engineering, EHS&S, facilities, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Own site performance across safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, cost, working capital, and full P&L objectives.
• Drive operational transformation and continuous improvement using hirify.global Business System tools, daily management, KPI action plans, and lean concepts.
• Prepare the site for increased demand from the global semiconductor industry while manufacturing complex proprietary technologies for highly regulated sectors.
• Align delivery expectations, resource allocation, headcount, overtime, operating expenses, and fiscal budgets with business leaders.
• Develop organizational capability, talent pipelines, succession readiness, and a strong safety culture while maintaining effective union relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of manufacturing people-leadership experience.
• Successful implementation and sustained results from continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programs.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, production planning, SIOP/S&OP, engineering, inventory and materials management, quality, regulatory affairs, and purchasing.
• Experience developing safety cultures with measurable performance improvements and building high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and people skills, including experience working with union leadership and culturally diverse stakeholders.
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated success developing talent and succession readiness.

• Master’s degree or formal manufacturing operations certifications.
• Formal lean or continuous improvement certifications.
