Commercial Data Governance Lead, EMEA (MedTech)

Location: Diegem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium; additional posting locations include Amersfoort and Breda, Netherlands; Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium; and Porto Salvo, Portugal.

Base pay range: €72,500–€130,400 annually in Belgium; €64,000–€115,500 in the Netherlands; €42,100–€75,600 in Portugal.

What you will do

• Operationalize and maintain the commercial data governance framework across EMEA Surgery and Electrophysiology data domains.
• Schedule and facilitate governance forums, document decisions, and track actions through completion.
• Coordinate Data Stewards and Administrators across markets, providing functional direction and ensuring consistency.
• Manage business glossaries, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, ownership registers, and retention schedules.
• Monitor governance adherence and data quality, escalate breaches, and drive root-cause resolution and preventative controls.
• Embed governance requirements into system designs, data models, and change-control processes while aligning diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data science, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in a data-focused commercial role, such as data operations, stewardship, or analytics.
• Demonstrated experience building, operationalizing, or running a data governance framework.
• Hands-on experience defining data quality standards, monitoring adherence, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing preventative controls.
• Experience with commercial data systems such as ERP, CRM, pricing, or master data environments, and with Data Stewards or Data Administrators.
• Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous.

Nice to have

• MedTech or healthcare experience.
• Experience with advanced analytics, database management, data privacy, data security, or privacy-enhancing computation.
