Medical Science Liaison - Obesity (Medical Affairs)

Location: US - Oregon - Portland; field-based territory includes Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and only Vancouver, Kennewick, and Spokane in Washington.

Salary: $156,998.40–$212,409.60 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary scientific and clinical resource for obesity opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and clinical investigators.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange and provide balanced clinical, outcomes, and economic information in accordance with Medical Science Liaison compliance standards.
• Support the obesity clinical pipeline, hirify.global-sponsored research, non-sponsored clinical research, and potential investigators, including serving as a study lead when required.
• Connect internal and external stakeholders, communicate field insights, and inform medical strategies and tactics.
• Lead or support congress activities, speaker training, project teams, and coordinated field engagement.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and required training while maintaining current clinical and scientific expertise.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another relevant doctoral degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of Medical Affairs experience is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in a medically related field, including 1 year in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research, is preferred.
• Experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company and expertise in cardiometabolic conditions or obesity are preferred.
• Ability to work within the designated U.S. territory and build strong relationships while communicating scientific data effectively.
