DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Almere, Netherlands, with 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain a modern AWS-based cloud platform.
• Create and manage Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK and Python.
• Build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native and Git-based tools.
• Develop self-service tools, platform automation, and observability across monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, improve cloud security, and manage reliability, performance, and incident recovery.
• Support the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS and collaborate with development and product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary cloud platform.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with Linux systems.
• Knowledge of CloudWatch, Datadog, cloud security principles, IAM, Zero Trust, and compliance.
• Experience with containerized environments, especially ECS Fargate, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud setups.
• Experience with AWS cost optimization or internal developer platforms.
