AI/ML CAD Engineer (RTL & Design Verification)

Location: Hybrid work model in the United States, with on-site work at an assigned hirify.global site. Primary location: Austin, Texas; additional location: Hillsboro, Oregon.

Annual salary: $122,440–$232,190 USD.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain AI-assisted CAD/EDA automation, tools, and workflows for RTL design and verification.
• Build scripts and software for RTL build, simulation, verification, emulation, regression, and static sign-off workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues across RTL, EDA frontend tools, automation infrastructure, and design environments.
• Apply AI/ML technologies to improve engineering automation, debugging, productivity, and workflow efficiency.
• Enhance CI/CD and regression automation while partnering with engineering and cloud infrastructure teams on compute scalability.
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, CAD, infrastructure, and EDA vendor teams to resolve technical issues and improve methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 3+ years of experience, or a master's degree with 1+ years of educational or work experience.
• Linux experience with shell scripting.
• Programming skills in Python, Perl, or C/C++.
• Experience with RTL/verification CAD tools and debugging across RTL, automation flows, and software/tool interactions.
• Experience with RTL design or verification workflows, including Verilog/SystemVerilog and EDA tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with VC SpyGlass, VCS, QuestaSim, coverage, or low-power tools.
• Experience with CAD/EDA automation, simulation/emulation flows, verification integration, CI/CD, and hardware DevOps.
• Experience with AI development environments such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Cloud compute experience, including simulation farm scaling and resource optimization.
• Experience working with EDA vendors and debugging across RTL, testbench, tools, scripts, and infrastructure.
