Electrical/Hardware Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Corvallis, Oregon, United States of America. The role is full-time and requires current eligibility to work in the US, with the ability to obtain US work authorization in 2027 without future sponsorship.

Salary: $45–$52 per hour for US candidates.

What you will do

• Design and build connected datasets and repeatable data pipelines for R&D applications.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and improve data-joining processes.
• Develop validation methods that improve data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Create Python and SQL solutions to streamline engineering workflows and reduce manual work.
• Apply AI and machine-learning methods to experimental data to identify patterns and generate insights.
• Document technical solutions and collaborate with engineering, software, and data stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Full-time enrollment at an accredited university.
• No more than 24 months of professionally related prior work experience, excluding internships, teaching assistance, research work, and military experience.
• Current US work eligibility and the ability to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027 without future sponsorship.
• Experience with programming, data analysis, databases, or engineering data workflows.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, SQL Server, data-pipeline concepts, data analysis, visualization, AI, and machine learning.
