Data Engineer Intern (AI): Building and supporting data pipelines, platforms, and workflows for analytics, reporting, automation, and AI-driven solutions with an accent on ETL/ELT, data transformation, data quality, and cloud data platforms. Focus on ingesting and preparing structured and unstructured data, monitoring reliability and performance, and developing data foundations for machine learning and generative AI use cases.
Location: Hybrid in Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do
- Build and support data pipelines that ingest, transform, and prepare data for business and analytical use.
- Work with structured and unstructured data for analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions.
- Apply Python, SQL, ETL processes, and cloud technologies to develop reliable data assets.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance through profiling, validation, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Use AI tools such as Copilot to support data solution development for advanced analytics and machine learning.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Programming and querying experience with Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Exposure to ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, data profiling, data quality, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, GitHub, relational databases, and data warehouse concepts.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus analytics, BI, or reporting tools.
- Interest in AI/ML concepts, generative AI tools, LLMs, NLP, and Agile ways of working.
