Data Engineer Intern (2027)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY hub offices; in-person onboarding required

Hourly base pay: $46 USD per hour

What you will do

• Build, test, and document data pipelines that bring product and business data into the warehouse.
• Design trusted, well-documented, reusable datasets for experimentation, product analytics, business analytics, and cross-functional teams.
• Optimize pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability as the platform grows.
• Partner with engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Own a scoped project from problem definition through implementation, testing, documentation, and results sharing with manager and mentor support.

Requirements

• Experience coding in Python or a similar language and writing SQL queries.
• Experience building or working with data pipelines, ETL, or large datasets.
• Interest in making data systems more scalable and reliable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and develop data engineering skills.
