Graphics Coordinator, TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle

Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office

What you will do

• Manage graphics from conception through completion, including animations, monitors, photographs, text panels, and lower thirds.
• Review, proof, assign, and create graphics to support stories and television segments.
• Load and traffic graphics elements into the daily rundown for playback.
• Direct graphics from the control room during live broadcasts and alert the director when elements should be inserted.
• Coordinate rundown changes across producers, directors, artists, playback operators, and other contributors.
• Provide rights and clearances guidance, maintain graphics documentation, and improve ordering, creation, and playback workflows.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of production experience at the network or daytime television level.
• At least 1 year of graphics experience at the network or cable news level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English, or a related field.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY and contribute from the office at least four days per week under the current hybrid schedule.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends with short notice.
• Strong grammar, punctuation, spelling, written communication, research, editorial judgment, and technical skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NBC News policies, guidelines, and practices.
