Technical Program Manager, Mission Autonomy

Location: Seattle, Washington; on-site. The role coordinates with distributed engineering teams in Arlington, Virginia, and San Diego, California.

What you will do

• Lead the integration of Hivemind autonomy software onto the X-BAT aircraft.
• Align aircraft engineering, autonomy software, manufacturing, lab availability, and flight-test schedules.
• Own integrated project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate system integration across laboratory, ground-test, and flight-test operations.
• Drive readiness reviews, gate reviews, Program Management Reviews, critical-path analysis, and mitigation of technical dependencies.
• Communicate program status, priorities, risks, integration readiness, financials, resources, and customer deliverables across cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 9 years with a master’s degree, 7 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional engineering programs from concept through production and operational deployment.
• Strong technical understanding of software-enabled systems, autonomy, aerospace systems, or complex integrated products.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and technical performance in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Program Management Reviews, gate reviews, and estimates.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating autonomy or software systems onto defense platforms.
• Experience in software development, autonomy development, systems engineering, or clean-sheet defense programs.
• PMP or Certified Scrum Master certification.
• Familiarity with DoD contracting, defense acquisition, or national security programs.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
