Senior Art Director (Theme Parks)

What you will do

• Establish and direct the overall visual appearance and creative intent of assigned Universal United Kingdom Resort projects.
• Lead visual design direction through sketches, illustrations, models, composite imagery, and image research, supervising others developing design concepts.
• Oversee the design, fabrication, and installation of on-stage elements including architecture, scenic art, scenery, props, animation, show action, special effects, and lighting.
• Act as the design vision-keeper throughout design and development, maintaining cohesive visual treatment across all project elements.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Show Producers, internal teams, and external vendors to deliver concepts within budgets and timeframes.
• Prepare and present project concepts, content, and status to internal and external audiences while applying brand standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing entertainment for world-class theme parks or related industries.
• Experience in art direction or production design and field experience based on Universal Creative standards, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A bachelor's degree in Theatre, Art, Film, or Architecture is preferred.
• Participation in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities and compliance with established policies and procedures.
