Staff Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable backend systems and data infrastructure supporting more than 300 integrations and 10M+ events per day.
• Build full-stack features with Node.js, React, TypeScript, and serverless frameworks.
• Set architecture and technical standards for data pipelines and the integrations platform.
• Collaborate with architects, R&D, product, engineering, support, and success teams to deliver capabilities and resolve technical issues.
• Lead design and planning activities, manage deliverables in Jira, and drive projects end to end.
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and develop frameworks, tooling, and practices that scale the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills with full-stack development experience.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL systems, especially Elasticsearch or DynamoDB.
• Production experience with AWS services including Lambda, VPC, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, SQS, and Kinesis.
• Experience designing and maintaining serverless infrastructure, data warehouses such as Snowflake, and scalable data pipelines.
• Experience with Jira, agile planning, infrastructure as code, and mentoring other engineers. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, or eligible to work in Canada, and must complete a criminal records check upon hire.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of information security and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with multiple programming languages beyond JavaScript and TypeScript.
