Software Development Engineer (C++)

Location: Hybrid work at the Bogota office, Colombia

What you will do

• Define user requirements and collaborate with product analysts, quality assurance, management, and other stakeholders.
• Design technical solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and support the sustainable evolution of the software architecture.
• Develop new software solutions and maintain existing C++ code.
• Model, design, and implement databases and integrate REST, Protobuf, XML, JSON, SOA, and event-driven architectures.
• Perform unit, package, and performance testing, investigate production issues, and debug customer solutions.
• Deploy and maintain software across different platforms and perform standard SRE activities.

Requirements

• Experience in software engineering.
• Object-oriented design skills and knowledge of C++, C#, Java, or Python; development will be delivered in C++.
• Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with RDBMS and SQL; Oracle is preferred.
• Knowledge of Protobuf, XML/JSON REST, and SOA or event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, shell scripting, and basic system administration, with good communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Couchbase.
• Prior C++ experience; internal training is available if necessary.
