Software Engineer III (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without immigration support or sponsorship. Occasional travel to the hirify.global office in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and nationwide travel for meetings, conferences, and team events is required.

Salary: $104,900–$199,065 annually. Location-based ranges also apply: $120,635–$199,065 in select states and New York City; $104,900–$173,100 in other locations.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve software solutions for Life Sciences products and clinical data workflows.
• Modernize monolithic legacy products in AWS and champion cloud-native best practices.
• Build integrations with EHR data, FHIR/HL7 interfaces, and medical claims data.
• Use generative AI throughout refinement, planning, implementation, testing, and code review.
• Define specifications, prompts, review checkpoints, and quality gates for traceable AI-assisted delivery.
• Develop automated tests, participate in code reviews, support deployments, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET 8, React, SQL, AWS, GitHub, and Terraform.
• Experience with domain-driven design, microservices, event-driven architecture, Agile delivery, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Professional daily experience with AI-assisted development tools and a repeatable approach to specification-driven prompting, human review, automated testing, and traceability.
• Strong knowledge of EHR data, clinical workflows, FHIR/HL7 interoperability, and clinical or claims data integration.
• United States work authorization is required; visa or immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with HIPAA or PCI-regulated environments, SaaS, Life Sciences, or clinical trials.
• AWS or Certified Scrum Developer certification and experience with TDD.
• Experience modernizing on-premises applications, clinical informatics, medical claims, or EHR systems.
• Experience with development agents, agent orchestration, multi-agent workflows, Jira, or Confluence.
