Clinical Pharmacist (Quality)

Location: Remote-IL, United States; Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time

Salary: $107,700–$199,300 per year

What you will do

• Define and develop standard and custom formularies for assigned health plans.
• Develop clinical criteria for medications, recommend plan design changes, and create clinical programs.
• Monitor prior authorization requests and provide clinical support to internal departments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality controls.
• Design programs supporting drug utilization review for Medicaid and Medicare.
• Coordinate the Medicare Medication Therapy Management program and support case management with clinical rounds presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in pharmacy, such as a Pharm.D. or M.S.
• At least 2 years of experience in managed care, clinical, hospital, or retail pharmacy, or at least 1 year of pharmacy residency experience.
• Current unrestricted pharmacist license in the applicable state.
• Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to critically evaluate clinical trials, treatment guidelines, and drug literature.
• Ability to work remotely from Illinois during Central Time business hours.

Nice to have

• Illinois pharmacist license.
• Background in clinical pharmacy, managed care, or hospital pharmacy.
