Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Location: Monroe, Wisconsin, United States. Onsite position on a rotating 12-hour night shift from approximately 7:00pm to 7:00am, including every other weekend.

Salary: $20.15–$22.40 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour night-shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary and automatic bindery machines, including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing equipment.
• Operate equipment that processes printed sheets into books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and other finished products.
• Coordinate multiple machine stations and make adjustments to maintain production accuracy.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and monitor quality, output, and productivity.
• Direct the crew through production activities and complete other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bindery equipment, including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing machines.
• Ability to work with different paper weights, sizes, types, and colors and identify conditions requiring machine adjustments.
• Basic mathematics skills, including decimals and metric units, to interpret dimensional requirements.
• Ability to use hand tools and specialized equipment to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions describing machine operations and sequencing.
• Ability to work evening, night, and weekend hours on a rotating 12-hour schedule.
