Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Location: Onsite in High Point, North Carolina, United States. Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on care in a busy occupational health clinic, including evaluation, treatment, prioritization, medications, and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Treat work-related injuries, manage workers’ compensation cases, coordinate with the TPA and client, and support safe return to work.
• Conduct and document physical evaluations, medical tests, screenings, and treatments such as EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Implement transitional duty programs and participate in accident investigations, workplace safety initiatives, injury prevention, and health promotion.
• Maintain patient records, medical equipment, infection-control procedures, and a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, company departments, and external resources on health programs and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care is required.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required; ACLS may be required depending on the contract scope.
• Experience with workplace hazard mitigation, health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work examinations.
• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification is preferred and may be required at some sites.
