Robot Service Technician Assistant (Robotics)

Location: Onsite at the UNC Wilmington campus in Wilmington, North Carolina; Saturday and Sunday, 3:45pm–12:15am. Remote work is not available. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no relocation or visa sponsorship is offered.

hirify.global is a U.S.-based autonomous vehicle startup developing and operating autonomous cars and delivery robots.

What you will do

• Prepare robot hardware and software for daily deployment.
• Charge robots and batteries and manage overnight power cycles.
• Clean the robot fleet and protect sensitive external hardware.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs, service campaigns, calibrations, and wheel alignment.
• Support remote tracking coordinators as a hands-on field contact.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is required.
• Comfort working in varied field environments.
• Ability to safely lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Team-oriented communication and collaboration skills.
• Availability for the onsite weekend PM shift: Saturday and Sunday, 3:45pm–12:15am.

Nice to have

• General computer literacy.
• Introductory experience or interest in electric vehicle service, automotive repair, or electronics.
