Accounting Manager (General Ledger)

Location: Dallas, TX - Headquarters; onsite

What you will do

• Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet support.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and review accounting activity for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Investigate account variances, reconciliation breaks, and unusual transactions.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal reporting, management review, and internal and external audits.
• Partner with AP, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Operations, and other teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, ERP enhancements, and accounting system changes while coaching accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA required.
• At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial close practices.
• Strong Excel and ERP/accounting systems experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in a publicly traded or high-growth company.
• Experience with large-scale reconciliations and complex account structures.
