AI Research Engineer/Scientist (AI)

Research and engineering work is conducted at Intel Labs China on efficient AI algorithms and deployment across Intel computing platforms.

What you will do

• Conduct cutting-edge AI research and engineering.
• Develop efficient algorithmic solutions for accelerating large AI models used in agentic and physical AI systems.
• Design algorithmic innovations for model deployment across client, edge, cloud, and data center applications.
• Collaborate with research and engineering team members on practical AI solutions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in AI, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in developing AI algorithms for compressing and accelerating state-of-the-art models.
• Hands-on experience with post-training quantization, particularly 4-bit and 1.58-bit quantization of large AI models.
• Familiarity with AI inference frameworks such as vLLM, Ollama, and OpenVINO.
• Proficiency in PyTorch, C/C++, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Ability to work on-site in Beijing, China.
