Software Engineer II (AI)

What you will do

• Conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of scientific computing and machine learning/AI.
• Develop and implement neural network and deep learning algorithms for scientific applications.
• Translate theoretical knowledge and algorithms into innovative research results and production technologies.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to deliver machine learning solutions.

Requirements

• PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, computational physics, or electrical engineering.
• Expertise in the theory and practice of neural networks and deep learning, including contemporary methods such as graph neural networks, attention mechanisms, transformer networks, reinforcement learning, and transfer learning.
• Knowledge of classical statistical inference and the ability to apply algorithms in practice.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and C++.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Julia.

Nice to have

• Strong computer science background.
• Knowledge of physics-informed machine learning, physics-informed neural networks, neural operator theory, or DeepONets.
• Experience with scientific computing or computational physics, including computational electromagnetics, fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, thermal analysis, or electrical circuit simulation.
