R&D Intern (2027) (Medtech)

Location: Libertyville, Illinois, US; hybrid schedule with a minimum of 4 office days per week and reliable transportation to the Libertyville headquarters required.

Salary: $22.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on education and skills.

What you will do

• Perform prescribed laboratory tests using approved methods.
• Prepare samples and assist with prototype development for new ostomy-care products.
• Create accurate laboratory records and maintain a compliant laboratory notebook.
• Help maintain laboratory equipment and materials inventories.
• Manage multiple assignments under the direction of R&D technical professionals and the R&D Manager.

Requirements

• Participation in an accredited engineering program leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Ability to collect and record data in an organized and legible manner.
• Basic proficiency with standard office automation software.
• Basic mathematical and statistical ability.
• Ability to follow quality processes and cooperate with team members.
• Regular attendance and reliable transportation to the Libertyville headquarters are required.
