Senior Security Risk Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in Canada or the United States

Salary: $139,200–$189,000 USD base salary annually for United States residents

What you will do

• Own risk identification, analysis, prioritization, and quantification across third-party risk, security assessments, and security findings.
• Translate technical vulnerabilities, control gaps, and vendor findings into actionable business risk statements.
• Drive remediation of findings and risk exceptions to closure with Engineering, IT, Product, Legal, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain the risk register and quarterly reporting cadence, including key risk indicators and metrics.
• Lead AI impact assessments, AI risk assessments, and risk treatments supporting ISO 42001 certification.
• Build automation, scripts, and AI-enabled tooling to improve risk and GRC workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security risk management and security-focused risk or compliance frameworks.
• Experience with NIST RMF, NIST 800-39, ISO 31000, or comparable frameworks.
• Experience performing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and translating technical risk into measurable business impact.
• Experience managing risk assessments, risk registers, and remediation across multiple business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to build scripts, workflows, or AI-enabled tooling that reduces manual work.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, SaaS security models, and DevSecOps practices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ISO 42001 or NIST AI RMF.
• CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC certification.
