Senior Software Engineer in Test

Annual base salary: CAD 118,000–162,000

What you will do

• Own quality for medium-sized Identity Governance features and co-own larger initiatives from design through production.
• Review requirements, architecture, and code; create test plans and perform risk and testability analysis.
• Build API, integration, end-to-end, and UI automation and integrate deterministic release gates into continuous integration.
• Develop scale, performance, reliability, and data-integrity tests for large tenants, entitlement operations, imports, and audit records.
• Investigate complex issues across distributed services, eliminate flaky tests, and improve documentation, monitoring, CI/CD, and support processes.
• Collaborate with product, design, site reliability, customer success, and field teams; participate in on-call support and convert root causes into lasting automated coverage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering in test or quality engineering, preferably with enterprise SaaS products.
• 5+ years building test automation in Java.
• Hands-on experience with REST or gRPC API automation and UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with performance and load testing, continuous integration, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or another major cloud platform, and distributed multi-tenant systems.
• Ability to write and review designs and code, own features end to end, troubleshoot complex issues independently, and plan testing with cross-functional partners.
• Comfort using logs and monitoring tools such as Splunk to debug test and production failures.

Nice to have

• Python or TypeScript experience.
• Identity Governance and Administration or broader identity and access management experience.
• Integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Active Directory, or LDAP.
• Testing in SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP compliance contexts, including audit evidence validation.
• Experience using AI tools or agents for test creation, triage, or maintenance.
