Manufacturing Technician III, Packaging Mechanic (Dayshift)

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing floor. The schedule starts Monday–Friday for the initial 12+ months, then transitions to a 12-hour 2-2-3 shift schedule.

Salary: $24.00–$38.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain packaging equipment including pickers, sorters, labelers, packers, checkweighers, printers, inspection systems, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and conveyors.
• Support equipment start-up, machine recipe selection, recipe format setup, sensor challenges, production issues, manual packaging, batch execution, material handling, rework, cleaning, and line clearance.
• Perform preventative maintenance, investigate abnormal equipment conditions, and prevent unplanned downtime.
• Complete batch records, GMP documentation, CMMS entries, material quality checks, and equipment-related safety activities.
• Support equipment qualification, process validation, OEE tracking, 5S, lean activities, and Level 0 problem-solving.
• Train packaging technicians, conduct qualification evaluations, review process documents, and collaborate with production and technical resources.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a regulated production environment with responsibility for equipment maintenance and performance.
• Ability to understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
• Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot automated equipment.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and maintenance materials.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and work effectively in a changing, demanding environment.
• Work authorization sponsorship, including visa support, is not available.

Nice to have

• High school, vocational school, or equivalent education.
• Associate degree in engineering or mechanical trade school training.
• Experience with automated equipment, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, SAP, OEE, TPM, lean, or continuous improvement methods.
