Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Nyíregyháza, Hungary. Hybrid work with an average of three days per week in the office; travel of approximately 20–50 days per year may be required.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical engineering projects for major factory expansion initiatives and retrofit solutions.
• Support the design and optimization of projects primarily at the hirify.global factory in Hungary.
• Collaborate with suppliers, consultants, contractors, authorities, and international project teams.
• Evaluate new technologies and develop mechanical engineering standards for future projects.
• Share knowledge and best practices for mechanical installations and facility engineering.
• Audit processes, standards, and policies to ensure compliant and consistent project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• More than 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, industrial construction, facility engineering, utility infrastructure, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience participating in construction projects and more than 5 years of project management experience with schedules, timelines, and budgets.
• Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and applying international mechanical design and engineering practices.
• Significant experience with mechanical detailing, industrial design, project detailing, and execution.
• Advanced English communication skills, C1 level, in written and spoken communication.

• Experience working in global organizations across cultures and countries.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–50 days per year.
