What you will do

• Design, develop, and debug low-level Linux kernel modules and device drivers for peripherals on i.MX SoCs.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering teams on software and board bring-up for new SoCs.
• Maintain, patch, and upgrade the Linux kernel to support new features and address security vulnerabilities.
• Contribute Linux kernel and driver changes upstream in collaboration with the Linux community.
• Use GDB, KDB, ftrace, dmesg, and related tools to investigate bottlenecks, memory leaks, and stability issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Graduating class of 2027.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C and solid knowledge of data structures and operations.
• Understanding of operating-system concepts including memory management, concurrency, scheduling, and interrupts, plus academic or project experience with Linux architecture.
• Basic knowledge of ARM architecture, preferably ARM Cortex-A, digital electronics, hardware schematics, and component datasheets.
• Full-time onsite work in Shanghai (Pudong).

Nice to have

• Experience with an i.MX development board or a similar ARM platform.
• Open-source or Linux upstream development experience and basic Linux kernel-space knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git, shell scripts, or a high-level programming language.
• Experience using AI coding assistants for coding, debugging, or automation.
