Technician 2, Process (Sputter)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite work in a cleanroom environment with 12-hour day and night shifts

What you will do

• Perform process characterization for sputter equipment and materials.
• Verify key process input variables, including pressure, temperature, and voltage, during process buy-off.
• Measure and collect characterization data and monitor key process output variables during production.
• Adjust processes to maintain specifications, resolve deviations, and support product quality.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, monitor machine alarms, and help minimize downtime.
• Maintain process records, support sample housekeeping, and follow cleanroom, safety, and EHS procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic/Electromechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Junior-level process technician; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to work 12-hour day and night shifts onsite in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and follow manufacturing safety protocols.
• Knowledge of process troubleshooting, process adjustments, machine data readback, and control limits.
• Teamwork and technical communication skills for collaboration with production, equipment, yield, quality, and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with sputter processes and magnetic materials used in hard disk drives.
• Excel macro experience.
