Senior Analyst, ETRM & Position Reporting (Energy Trading)

Location: US, Houston, TX

Salary: $94,000–$112,625 per year, plus annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and enhance the ETRM platform for the AES Clean Energy commercial business.
• Coordinate with Commercial and IT teams on ETRM functionality, business-unit rollouts, and system improvements.
• Develop and maintain internal and external tools for position and market monitoring.
• Support trade entry, deal and asset booking, exposure modeling, and product control activities.
• Provide live troubleshooting support for commercial, risk, and financial teams, including occasional after-hours or weekend support.
• Develop customer applications and assist with data management solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Sciences, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in the energy industry.
• Experience supporting Energy Trading and Risk Management systems; Allegro experience is desirable.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Power BI and reporting tools, plus working knowledge of SQL and database querying.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with HTML, Python, Perl, R, XML, and related technologies.
• Experience with Allegro ETRM.
