TL;DR
Director of Engineering (Measurement/AI): Leading and scaling a five-team measurement engineering organization while building reliable, accurate, scalable data systems with an accent on distributed systems, data pipelines, high-scale production environments, and AI-assisted engineering. Focus on coordinating technical priorities, developing engineering leaders, resolving cross-team dependencies, and investigating complex production problems while maintaining data correctness and operational efficiency.
Location: Jerusalem, Israel, hybrid; must work from the Jerusalem office at least three days per week, with Monday and Wednesday required. Full evening availability is required.

What you will do
- Lead and scale the Measurement engineering organization of approximately five teams and 15 engineers.
- Coordinate priorities across leadership, Product, and engineering leads, resolving dependencies and unblocking decisions.
- Own hiring, organizational design, performance management, leadership development, and team accountability.
- Shape technical direction while balancing reliability, data correctness, infrastructure cost, technical debt, and delivery needs.
- Stay hands-on with designs, code, debugging, production investigations, distributed systems, and data-intensive workloads.
- Drive practical AI adoption through coding tools, LLMs, agent-based workflows, and AI-assisted team automation.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience managing engineering teams and leads across multiple teams, with accountability for people, delivery, and production systems.
- Experience leading in a fast-growing startup and scaling engineering organizations through hiring, leadership development, and performance management.
- Strong hands-on software engineering background, including code review, architecture assessment, and complex production troubleshooting.
- Significant experience with big data, data engineering teams, very high-scale production environments, distributed systems, data pipelines, and analytical workloads.
- Advanced practical AI proficiency with AI coding tools, LLMs, and agent-based workflows, including validation of security, privacy, and data quality.
- Native-level written and spoken English is required, along with high emotional intelligence, clear accountability, and strong judgment.
Nice to have
- Experience in marketing measurement, attribution, adtech, ecommerce analytics, or related domains.
- Familiarity with multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, incrementality, identity resolution, or event tracking.
- Experience collaborating with Meta, Google, or TikTok on integrations, measurement, or data partnerships.
- Experience with streaming data systems and analytical databases such as ClickHouse, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Experience applying AI to data-intensive products or engineering operations.
