Backend Team Manager (AppSec): Building core components of a cloud security platform that helps developers find, fix, and prevent risks in application code and infrastructure as code, with an accent on backend engineering, security-as-code, and high-scale systems. Focus on leading software development, designing scalable architectures, improving CI/CD and engineering practices, and developing a growing team.
Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; most teams work from the office full time

What you will do
- Lead a team of software developers working on the core AppSec product.
- Define product scope and delivery phases with the product manager.
- Lead design reviews, identify technical bottlenecks, and resolve engineering obstacles.
- Participate hands-on in the development lifecycle.
- Improve planning, testing, CI/CD, retrospectives, and engineering design practices.
- Hire new talent and create development plans for team members.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend development experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a team lead.
- Security knowledge, preferably in code security.
- Professional development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience operating live, high-scale production systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
Nice to have
- Experience with GCP or another cloud provider.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience.
