Contracts Advisor / Category Specialist (Oil & Gas)

Location: 6750 Building, Ayala, Makati City, Philippines; onsite, mid-shift. Six openings are available.

What you will do

• Develop and execute short- and long-term contracting strategies and business unit contracting plans.
• Draft, review, amend, and negotiate contracts, terms and conditions, scopes of work, and compensation schedules.
• Lead sourcing activities, including supplier qualification, due diligence, bid preparation, evaluation, and contract award.
• Analyze contracts and commercial options, support negotiations, and deliver documented savings.
• Manage pre-award and post-award contracting activities, compliance, internal controls, claims mitigation, and PACM actions.
• Partner with legal, finance, tax, compliance, intellectual property, suppliers, and business stakeholders while mentoring less experienced contracting professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field; 10+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 6 years of experience in sourcing, contracting, commercial negotiations, RFX management, and post-award contract management.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations and conducting commercial and technical analyses.
• Proficiency in Smart by GEP, Ariba, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Must be amenable to working a mid-shift onsite in Makati City, Philippines.

Nice to have

• Experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Experience contracting for engineering, professional, logistics, marketing, maintenance, and operational services.
• Experience collaborating across diverse, cross-functional teams and working through ambiguity.
