Manufacturing Engineer - Machine Shop (CNC)

Location: Elyria, Ohio, United States; onsite. Access to controlled data may be limited to US Persons under ITAR requirements.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including pumps and thermal management systems.

What you will do

• Provide production-support engineering for machining and manufacturing processes.
• Identify equipment, machining strategies, tooling, feeds, speeds, and gages for precision components.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using product, material, fabrication, equipment, and quality knowledge.
• Create and maintain production routings from raw material through production, assembly, and testing.
• Develop or modify NC/CNC programs and prepare cost estimates for components and assemblies.
• Own assigned manufacturing processes, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 0–5 years of manufacturing experience; precision machining or automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, facility flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
• Proficiency with CAD and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and AS9145 process controls.
• Only US Persons may be considered where access to controlled data or information is required under ITAR.

Nice to have

• CNC programming experience with Mastercam.
• Experience with automation or machining.
