Sr. Manager, Data Science (Product & Engineering)

Salary: $129,700–$226,900 base pay annually, depending on position, location, education, training, and experience.

What you will do

• Build relationships with business leaders and understand their strategies, initiatives, and success metrics.
• Lead, manage, coach, recruit, and develop highly technical data scientists.
• Drive the development and execution of data science methodologies and practices.
• Lead technical engagements with business stakeholders and senior leaders, and educate users on advanced analytics.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics models and solutions.
• Drive adoption of insights and models, manage external data science resources, and support measurable business impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years directly managing data scientists.
• Expertise in statistics, advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive modeling, network analysis, cluster analysis, and machine learning.
• Advanced expertise in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with data science tools such as Databricks, distributed computing, large-scale data, and cloud analytics such as Azure.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, leadership, and change-management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s or doctorate in a quantitative field.
• Experience leading end-to-end data science implementations with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in analytical consulting.
