Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Washington, D.C.; active TS/SCI clearance required

What you will do

• Design, build, and integrate AI agents and multi-agent workflows using LLMs and agent frameworks.
• Connect agents to enterprise applications, APIs, databases, developer tools, mission systems, and approved data sources.
• Build secure, repeatable AI workflows for controlled and classified environments.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, cost, and task completion.
• Implement guardrails, policy controls, identity and permission controls, and human-in-the-loop approval points.
• Operationalize AI workloads with platform engineers across Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and DevSecOps environments.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to support U.S. government mission environments.
• Hands-on experience building applications with large language models and generative AI.
• Experience designing AI agents or agentic workflows and integrating AI systems with APIs, enterprise applications, databases, and external tools.
• Strong programming experience in Python or another modern programming language.
• Working knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Git-based software development, automated CI/CD, testing, debugging, system design, and rapid prototyping.

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP, multi-agent systems, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, NVIDIA, NVIDIA NIM, NeMo, or model-serving technologies.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift AI, Kubernetes-based AI platforms, GPUs, inference optimization, or AI infrastructure.
• Experience deploying AI systems in Secret or TS/SCI environments, including disconnected or air-gapped environments.
• Experience with AI guardrails, observability, evaluation frameworks, knowledge graphs, enterprise search, or secure software delivery technologies.
