QA Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: West Jordan, Utah, United States; onsite, first shift

Salary: $24–$28 per hour, with possible shift differentials and overtime pay

What you will do

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against inspection plans, drawings, purchase orders, specifications, and MTRs.
• Perform dimensional, coating, visual weld, dye-penetrant, magnetic particle, and dry-film-thickness inspections.
• Operate measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, height gauges, and coating thickness gauges; operate CMMs where applicable.
• Prepare nonconformance reports and support CAPA documentation, root cause analysis, calibration, and quality investigations.
• Support ISO 9001 internal and supplier audits, SPC monitoring, employee training, and Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen events.
• Identify and isolate nonconforming materials, communicate quality issues, and maintain safe, organized work conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
• Ability to physically perform required testing, including dye-penetrant, magnetic particle, and dry-film-thickness testing.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or steel fabrication experience and knowledge of arc welding processes.
• Familiarity with liquid and powder coatings, ASTM specifications, AWWA standards, and AWS/ASME welding codes.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
• Problem-solving skills and bilingual English/Spanish ability.
