Audio-Visual Technician

Location: Onsite work in hotel and convention center environments; team members may work at multiple hotel locations and must be available for days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Hourly pay: $15.00–$18.48.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and dismantle basic audiovisual equipment for events.
• Meet with guests and clients onsite, monitor events, and ensure equipment operates properly.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues and handle technical changes promptly.
• Follow equipment schedules, company procedures, system-entry requirements, and paperwork processes.
• Coordinate with staff and outside vendors, finalize invoices, and complete order entries in Navigator.
• Use floor-based upselling techniques while maintaining strong client and hotel relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to complete required training and certifications within 60 days of starting, if hired externally.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet the physical requirements of event setup and operation.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members operating company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.
• Availability for irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call work in hotel or convention center environments.
• Customer service or hospitality experience and audiovisual experience are preferred.

Nice to have

• One year of customer service or hospitality experience.
• One year of audiovisual experience or equivalent educational experience.
• Associate’s degree.
