TL;DR
Associate Tech Support Analyst (Network Infrastructure/Data Center): Providing first-level support for network services, servers, security appliances, applications, telecommunications, and data center infrastructure at healthcare facilities with an accent on onsite troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance, and customer support. Focus on installing and maintaining network equipment, supporting Windows and virtualization platforms, mitigating vulnerabilities, and coordinating issue resolution with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers.
Location: Onsite in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States, with travel to other WVUHS facilities and affiliated sites as needed.
Employment type: Full time, 40 hours per week. The role includes on-call responsibilities and may require phone or onsite response.

What you will do
- Provide first-level and basic second-level support for network services, servers, security appliances, applications, PCs, telecommunications, and data center infrastructure.
- Install and rack network and security equipment, run and terminate data cabling, maintain rack documentation, and monitor UPS and backup power systems.
- Troubleshoot Windows systems, legacy and virtualized servers, healthcare applications, user access, video conferencing, and remote-site technical issues.
- Work with Tier 2 and Tier 3 analysts and engineers on incident resolution, vulnerability mitigation, disaster recovery, business continuity, and system consolidation projects.
- Maintain network information databases, inventory systems, technical documentation, change records, and problem-tracking information using enterprise tools such as Workday and ServiceNow.
- Support customers and end users through training, application guidance, security education, and clear communication during projects and incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or a high school diploma/equivalent with two years of networking and server-platform experience.
- Generalist knowledge of networks, servers, security, applications, PCs, Windows operating systems, and healthcare information systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot network equipment, security appliances, servers, Windows systems, applications, and user access issues.
- Experience working with end users and multiple teams, including change management, incident management, problem management, and ticketing systems.
- Ability to travel to affiliated sites, work independently or collaboratively, participate in on-call support, and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work under high-stress conditions in a healthcare environment.

- Knowledge of Nutanix, Hyper-V, VMware, ITIL, electronic health records, and healthcare applications.
