Applications Engineer Intern (Power Electronics)

Location: San Jose, CA; Kirkland, WA; or Detroit, MI

Salary: $30–$55 per hour, depending on market location, experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Provide technical application support to customers and Field Application Engineers.
• Support the development and evaluation of analog IC and module products for DC-DC power conversion.
• Simulate, test, debug, and evaluate new products with Applications Engineers and Design Engineers.
• Develop reference designs and troubleshoot customer designs.
• Write application notes, design notes, and technical articles.
• Present project summaries and results to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate electrical engineering program.
• Written and verbal proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Hands-on experience implementing and testing power electronics hardware.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Ability to work full time for an internship of ideally at least 12 weeks; timing may be arranged for fall, winter, spring, or summer.
