Analog Layout Intern - Master's Degree (Analog Mixed-Signal IC)

What you will do

• Develop analog and mixed-signal IC layouts for high-speed connectivity and broadband analog applications.
• Apply layout fundamentals including device matching, symmetry, floor planning, routing, and parasitic awareness.
• Assist with physical layout of interfaces, converters, phase-locked loops, and clock-generation circuits under engineering guidance.
• Run design rule checks and layout-versus-schematic verification using industry-standard tools, and help resolve issues.
• Participate in layout reviews, document work, share progress, and collaborate with local and overseas teams.
• Contribute to scripting or automation tasks that improve layout efficiency and quality when applicable.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, CMOS technology, and electronic circuits.
• Strong interest in analog and mixed-signal IC design and physical layout.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, seek feedback, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Coursework or academic projects in analog circuits, VLSI, or IC design.
• Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, or physical verification tools.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or SKILL.
