AI Product Community Manager (Contract)

Location: Open to remote candidates. The contract is expected to run through 6/30/27 and may be extended.

Rate: $75–95 per hour. The project requires 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Define the community strategy for an emerging consumer AI product and build a trusted, scalable home for engaged users.
• Develop ambassador, advocate, power-user, referral, and invite programs that strengthen participation and organic growth.
• Design engagement programs, events, meetups, toolkits, and personalized community experiences supported by AI and automation.
• Use community behavior, engagement data, experimentation, and qualitative feedback to improve participation, retention, sentiment, and advocacy.
• Represent the community internally by translating user behavior, feedback, AI use cases, and friction into actionable recommendations for Product and Engineering.
• Support adoption in new markets and build scalable community programs for a product expected to reach millions of users.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in community, social, developer relations, creator programs, product advocacy, or a related field.
• Experience supporting a consumer technology product at meaningful scale.
• Experience building ambassador, advocate, creator, or superuser programs from the ground up.
• Experience launching, testing, iterating, and scaling community programs, including automation, governance, moderation, and escalation processes.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication, and community strategy skills, with the ability to translate user insights into product recommendations.
• Strong interest in AI and experience working in an evolving, early-stage product environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI, generative AI, AI-powered consumer products, AI agents, or emerging technology communities.
• Experience with beta, early-access, design-partner, creator-led, or user-generated content programs.
• Experience building communities internationally or using AI, automation, and personalization to improve engagement.
