Principal Cloud Network Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week from hirify.global locations in Johnston, Rhode Island; Iselin, New Jersey; Westwood, Massachusetts; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Plano, Texas; Dallas, Texas; or Phoenix, Arizona. The role is not relocation eligible.

Salary: $123,200–$184,800 per year, plus potential incentive earnings.

What you will do

• Architect and deploy secure cloud networks across AWS and Azure.
• Design and implement hybrid-cloud environments using Spine-Leaf architecture.
• Manage hybrid-cloud connectivity through AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute.
• Drive the product vision for secure, repeatable multi-cloud network infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Harness, and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot networking and security issues, document solutions, share knowledge, and participate in a tier 3 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network architecture or cloud services, focused on cloud networking and security.
• Proficiency with AWS and Azure native networking and security constructs.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Harness, and Ansible.
• Experience with IP networking, Spine-Leaf architecture, routing, switching, IPsec, and VRFs.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools including CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs, Splunk, Wireshark, tracert, and NetMon.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and deploying the Aviatrix multi-cloud platform.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Aviatrix ACE Professional, or CCIE RS certification.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira.
