Senior Software Engineer (Conversational AI Platform)

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, deployment, and live-site health of production systems.
• Build integrations across speech-to-text, text-to-speech, LLM, telephony, dealership management, scheduling, and CRM systems.
• Optimize real-time audio pipelines and telephony integrations for low latency, quality, resilience, and high availability.
• Design observability with distributed tracing, CloudWatch dashboards and alarms, cost attribution, SLIs, SLOs, and structured logs.
• Build event-driven AWS infrastructure, resilience patterns, multi-provider LLM failover, and graceful degradation strategies.
• Lead systems design, technical decisions, architecture standards, code reviews, documentation, and initiatives that improve engineering productivity and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years building and scaling production systems, with a computer science degree or equivalent depth in algorithms, systems design, and distributed computing.
• Expert-level TypeScript and Node.js experience.
• Strong AWS experience, including ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, RDS or ElastiCache, SQS, CloudWatch, networking, and IAM.
• Infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, CI/CD and release automation, and production PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience with LLM application development, real-time systems, high-throughput distributed systems, and performance optimization under strict latency constraints.
• Experience with telephony or VoIP systems, including SIP, RTP, and audio codecs, plus strong testing, observability, reliability, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Strong prompt design, context management, and optimization across LLM providers.
• Experience integrating with enterprise APIs such as dealership management systems, scheduling platforms, and CRMs.
• Fluency with AI coding agents in daily development workflows.
