GIS Developer (ArcGIS)

Location: Hybrid work at the Oakville, Ontario, Canada location; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and test GIS applications, services, front-end visualization systems, and workflow tools.
• Manage enterprise geospatial data, Market Place datasets, geodatabases, GIS servers, and application reliability.
• Integrate GIS functionality into standalone and web-based solutions with developers, operations teams, partners, and vendors.
• Automate processes and support service-oriented architectures, web application security, and cloud-based solutions.
• Prepare requirements analysis, design documentation, test plans, effort estimates, and project updates.
• Lead projects and develop proof-of-concept solutions when required.

Requirements

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional GIS development experience.
• Expertise with Esri ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, and ArcSDE on PostgreSQL 10.x or newer.
• Experience with relational databases, big data concepts, data modeling, geodatabase design and administration, geospatial standards, and advanced geoprocessing.
• Development experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, Python, ArcPy, the ArcGIS API for Python, and ArcGIS JavaScript APIs.
• Experience deploying and testing customized web applications, service-oriented architectures, AWS or GCP, and web application security.

Nice to have

• Experience with FME Workbench and Server.
• Broader GIS knowledge beyond core development.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Interest in process improvement and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
