Senior Software Engineer (BPC)

Location: Hybrid, with office attendance at least once a week at an assigned hirify.global hub in Bristol, Glasgow, or London. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: £58,000–£90,000 per year, plus a 15% on-target bonus and 9% Flex Pay.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end development of complex systems and business-critical features.
• Drive architectural direction for key features and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Write clean, efficient code, lead code reviews, and implement automated testing.
• Lead and mentor engineers through knowledge sharing, technical discussions, and feedback.
• Break complex projects into executable Agile tasks and resolve delivery blockers.
• Contribute to the engineering community through documentation, workshops, and best-practice sharing.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on software development experience in an Agile environment.
• Expertise in scalable microservices architecture using Node.js, Python, and TypeScript.
• Experience with GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency with React.js and/or React Native.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
