Staff Software Engineer (Stream Processing & Analytics)

Location: Remote within the United States; locations include Poughkeepsie, Lowell, Rochester, Tucson, Research Triangle Park, Armonk, Boston, Bellevue, Atlanta, San Jose, Dallas, Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle. Some travel may be required based on business demand.

Salary: $207,000–$314,640 per year.

What you will do

• Develop Flink control plane services for job submission, scaling, recovery, and lifecycle orchestration.
• Build Kubernetes operators and orchestrators for serverless resource management.
• Design APIs supporting job management, multi-tenancy, and resource isolation.
• Create technical designs, facilitate stakeholder decisions, and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability.
• Participate in team processes, lead meetings, take initiatives, and join on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers in control plane architecture and serverless Apache Flink.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems orchestration, Kubernetes, control loops, and high-scale control planes.
• Experience with API servers or cloud-native infrastructure, containerization, networking, and resource isolation.
• Strong problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
